2019 box office report: Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff’s ‘War’ tops, Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Kabir Singh’ and Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ follow | Hindi Movie News


witnessing a phenomenal last year in terms of its box office collections, Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff’s high octane action flick ‘War’ has emerged as the biggest grosser of 2019, according to Box Office India’s latest report.

The high octane action film managed to earn Rs 292.71 crore which is followed by Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Kabir Singh’ and

‘s ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ with Rs 276.34 crore and Rs 244 crore respectively.

The report further suggested that the top twenty-five films of 2019 collected around Rs 3600 crore approximately which is way higher as compared to Rs 3000 crore approximately last year. But the main reason is termed to be the lower GST in 2019.

Another film which surpassed the 200 crore mark last year was Akshay Kumar’s ‘Housefull 4’. The laugh riot managed to rake around Rs 205.60 crore and also helped

dominate the year with all his other releases also doing a remarkable business in the domestic circuit.
