The 2nd Edition of the Sanskriti Awards for Outstanding Achievements celebrates excellence in various fields
Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Defence and Tourism, Shri Ajay Bhatt unveiled the 4th book of Hindi poems written by Mrs. Devyani Mungali, Founder Director, Sanskriti Group of Schools
PUNE, India, Aug. 21, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — The second edition of the Sanskriti Awards for Outstanding Achievements was held earlier this month in Pune, in the august presence of Shri Ajay Bhatt, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Defence and Tourism. Also present were Founder-Director of Sanskriti Group of Schools – Mrs. Devyani Mungali, with Chairman of Sanskriti Group of Schools – Col. (Retd) Dr. G.S Mungali (Retd.) amongst other dignitaries such as Lt. Gen. Ajai Kumar Singh AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM – the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of the Southern Command of the Indian Army, and Vice Admiral Ajay Kochhar – Commandant, NDA. The event was attended by key distinguished guests, teachers and students, as well.
The awards were started by the Sanskriti Group of Schools in 2022. These awards acknowledge and felicitate exemplary contributions by people in various industries such as Healthcare, National Service, Education, Media, Sports, Governance, Art and Culture, who have made a positive impact in their respective fields and are truly role models for the future generations. Sanskriti School has been the forerunner to celebrate with gratitude, the role of such heroes who are the perfect role models inspiring others, especially young minds, to follow in their footsteps.
The Awards were presented to – Lt. Gen. Rajendra Ramrao Nimbhorkar, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM** (Bar), VSM and Subedar Major Sanjay Kumar, Param Veer Chakra for Service to the Nation. For Governance Mr. Mahesh Kisanrao Landge, Bhosari MLA and Mr. Rahul Ranjan Mahiwal, PMRDA Commissioner were felicitated. Mr. Kisan Dattoba Bhujbal, Education Extension Officer of Pune Zilla Parishad bagged the award for Education. For Healthcare Dr. Uma Divate, Consultant Physician and Head of Department of Medicine, Jehangir Hospital, Pune and Dr. Rajendra Patankar, Chief Executive Officer, Jupiter Hospitals, Pune, were awarded. Kavita Kane bagged it for Literature. Mr. Chinmay Patankar, Senior Correspondent won in Media and Journalism category. Mr. Umesh Zirpe, Veteran mountaineer, leading one of the largest civilian expedition of India on the world’s highest mountain – The Mount Everest, bagged the award for Sports.
The Awards function was followed by the book launch of the 4th book of Hindi poems ‘Chatpati Chulbuli Kavitayein’ written by Mrs. Devyani Mungali, Founder Director, Sanskriti Group of Schools. A noted educationist, storyteller and author of Hindi poetry books and English story books for children, Mrs. Devyani Mungali, with her 30+ years of rich experience in education and literature, has recently been awarded the ‘Indian Education Excellence Award 2022’.
Emphasizing on the importance of a sound value system, Shri Ajay Bhatt, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Defence and Tourism shared, “A good value system, shaped especially during childhood is critical in determining one’s future path. Sanskriti School is nurturing and shaping children the right way, and events like this where inspiring role models are recognized, further encourage the children to aspire to become like them when they grow up.” His talk was interspersed with interesting anecdotes and stories of his life and hardships he had faced, in spite of which he had emerged strong and a self-made man today. He also shared examples of real life people who had made it big in life in spite of not having all the opportunities.
